No current Talk conversations about this book. JESGalway May 2, Paul was a great player even though he was a notorious alcoholic, with dodgy knees. This is his story. Good interesting read. Daftboy1 May 12, Highly emotional, raw, brutally honest and at times darkly humorous this is a fascinating autobiography. I have always considered McGrath the best Irish soccer player from the golden generation and was aware of some of the tragedies of his upbringing and life. It is all lade bare here together with the viewpoints of his peers and family.
We should be thankful that we have a better understanding of how to deal with both depression and alcoholism in the present decade.
